Herbie Mann & The Bill Evans Trio - Nirvana

Slowing it right down for Sunday evening, a lovely piece which, to me, sounds better with the slightly distorted recording.

  2. Hey, just wanted to thank you for all the work you put into this excellent blog. Just stumbled across here a few months ago, and I've been enjoying it ever since -- especially the 60s/70s jazz and 70s funk, but really it's all great. Thanks for sharing your love for this stuff!

  4. Seems that this album was a project for Bill Evans to work through his grief after losing his wife. Critics and fans pan this as Evans' worst work. Having found this at the public library when I was a teenager looking for Herbie Mann, it was my introduction to Evans, and will remain forever a favorite. Glad to find other fans of this often overlooked and underappreciated album. -katya oddio
